Why we serve

We serve because at My First Mentor, we strive to give each and every students the educational resources like mentorship, academic guidance, study resources, and even learning/educational toys. Everyone may not like the teacher-student interaction, or even sometimes the student still may be confused about important things like college, sport scholarships, leadership, and other academic related issues. This problem is occurring because of the insufficiency of resources provided to students of color, learning difference, financial instability, and those who fall under other stereotypes.

 

Did you know that only nineteen percent of neuro-divergent students (this includes those with dyslexia, autism, downs syndrome, and more) attend college. Our goal is to increase those numbers by providing resources in order for them to succeed.

The Students We Impact

Which high school and college mentors, our program is also designed for students who have a learning difference, or a neuro-condition. We were able to guide autistic and dyslexic students in their academic journey. Our program has a strict discriminatory policy, and we serve all and every student without additional cost.
